Bought from a house clearance at the weekend, this gorgeous bowl of flowers was painted by the lovely lady whose home it was, and I couldn’t resist. Happily, at 101(!), Dorothy is in her new home and so there were lots of things now surplus to requirements, including this beautiful little oil painting which she painted herself. I feel really honoured to have it.
And so it can now join the rest of my flower Collection. I had planned to frame and hang them all, but I actually really love them unframed and displayed in a group with some beautiful ceramics too. After all, who said paintings should be hung on a wall – at least on the floor you can move them around and rearrange them on a whim!
